Headlight Restoration
Assess exterior lens weathering and discuss whether restoration is suitable before committing to sanding or polishing.
Request a free estimateWhat this service involves
Plastic headlight lenses can develop external haze and surface weathering. That is different from internal moisture, a failing bulb, reflector damage, or an electrical fault. An assessment helps decide whether the concern is on the outer surface and whether a restoration process is appropriate.
What to include in your estimate
Confirm which lenses are included, the proposed preparation, and any compatible protective finishing step. Trim protection and the condition of the original coating should be discussed. Bulb replacement and lamp disassembly are not part of cosmetic lens restoration.
How the work is approached
The adjacent surfaces are protected before a suitable correction process is selected. Depending on condition, controlled abrasion and polishing may improve exterior haze. Any follow-up protection should be explained along with its maintenance needs and limitations.
When to consider an assessment
Visible exterior clouding or uneven surface weathering can be a reason to request assessment. Water inside the lamp or a lamp that does not operate points toward other work. Do not assume restoration will correct every issue affecting visibility.
Expected results and important limits
Cracks, deep deterioration, internal damage, and failed seals may require replacement or repair. Restoration does not certify light output or roadworthiness. The achievable cosmetic improvement depends on lens condition and prior treatments.
Time, access, and preparation
Lens design, preparation, and any finishing product affect timing. Ask about curing and exposure restrictions before washing or driving in adverse conditions immediately after service.
Looking after the result
Wash gently with suitable products and follow guidance for any applied protection. Have internal condensation or operating faults investigated separately. Surface clarity can change again with exposure and wear.
