The product matters

Ceramic coating describes a category of products rather than a single specification. The actual manufacturer instructions define the suitable surfaces, preparation, application, and maintenance. Ask for the product name and any documented warranty terms instead of inferring performance from the category label.

Preparation is part of the service

A coating does not automatically remove swirls or repair paint. Washing, decontamination, and any agreed polishing happen before application. A new vehicle can still need preparation, while a used vehicle may be suitable after the finish and customer priorities are reviewed.

Protection has limits

No coating makes paint immune to scratches, stone chips, neglect, or every chemical exposure. A coating does not eliminate washing. Durability depends on the specific product, preparation, use, and care; an unspecified coating should not come with an invented lifespan.

Curing affects the handover

The chosen product can require controlled conditions and restrictions after application. Ask when the vehicle can be collected, whether water exposure matters, and when washing is permitted. The work-area time and the complete curing period are not always the same thing.

Keep the care information

Retain the product record and use compatible maintenance products. If performance or appearance changes, discuss it before applying an unrelated treatment. See ceramic coating for the scope items to include in an estimate.
